Well, school is off to a typical Matt Kelly Elementary start. School has been in session for 2 days and I've already dealt with general first day of school chaos (made even better by the rainstorm Monday morning. Las Vegans don't know how to drive, walk, or even leave their homes when it rains), vomiting kids, a student flipping me off because I asked her not to braid her hair in the middle of an assembly, and a schoolwide lockdown because some guy fled the scene of a gunfight he was involved in and started running to our 'hood. The ghetto birds (aka police helicopters) were flying all day today.
